Nikki Eatchel

Nikki Eatchel has more than 24 years of experience in the assessment industry.  She has spent the majority of her career focused in the areas of assessment development and psychometrics and has served in executive leadership positions for these areas in a number of global assessment organizations. In her positions, she has worked in various testing segments, including education, certification and licensure, and employment testing. She has also served as an assessment and business consultant for various national and international organizations.

Her responsibilities have spanned the full spectrum of assessment activities, including assessment analytics, assessment design, assessment development, blueprint development, item bank design and management, item development, test administration, test publishing, scoring and reporting. She has been personally responsible for large-scale assessment development for global programs as well as state-wide clients — working in some capacity with all 50 states within the U.S. She has added to her well-rounded approach to the assessment industry by serving in leadership positions in product management, program management, client support, and business development. She has also worked in the arena of employment litigation support, preparing testimony for teams representing both the prosecution and the defense.

Bryan Reel

Bryan Reel has spent more than 20 years architecting state-of-the-art software solutions in a variety of fields.  With Castle Worldwide, he led the development of a suite of industry leading solutions covering exam development, exam administration & scoring, and a variety of candidate management systems.  As the Chief Technology Officer, Bryan is responsible for Scantron’s long-term, strategic vision for certification and assessment-related technical solutions as well as well as the day-to-day operation of Scantron’s systems and technical services.

Before his time in the assessment industry with Castle Worldwide, Bryan spent more than 12 years in software system architecture and development within the U.S. intelligence and defense communities. There he built a strong track record of technical excellence and leadership in high-stakes, security focused environments.  His specialties include advanced data visualization, GIS, modeling and simulation, business intelligence, and decision support systems.

Cathy Pickoski

Cathy Pickoski has more than 25 years of experience leading high performing sales and marketing teams in environments of rapid growth and change.  She began her career at MCI Telecommunications establishing herself in progressive leadership roles within the Consumer, Commercial and Public Sector Markets, which culminated in leading the Field Segment Marketing team for Western Global Accounts with annual revenues in excess of $800M.  She then moved to Qwest Communications running the North Texas/Oklahoma Region and growing revenues more than 400% during her tenure. In late 2005, she joined Plato Learning to lead sales teams in the K12, post-secondary and channel markets as the organization transformed to a Software-as-a-Service business. During this period, her teams exceeded annual revenue goals and secured key contracts at the state level along with securing multiple contracts at the district and post-secondary level.

JoAnn Smith

With more than 30 years of experience leading accounting and finance, JoAnn Smith heads the finance department for Scantron. She is responsible for company forecasting, planning, reporting, pricing analysis, and sales compensation along with the contracts and order management functions. As lead in this role, JoAnn manages team members across multiple locations throughout the organization.

In previous positions, JoAnn has directed general accounting, financial reporting, project costing, sales compensation, account receivable and payable functions. She has also been responsible for developing internal controls and processes. Andy Frost has more than 15 years of experience in education technology.  He has spent the majority of his career as a product management leader and has served in executive leadership positions for several education technology organizations. In his positions, he has delivered both curriculum and assessment products for elementary, secondary, post-secondary, and adult learners. He has also advised a variety of start-up organizations on business planning, product roadmap, and go-to-market strategies.

His leadership responsibilities have spanned a variety of business functions, including sales, marketing, business development, and product management. At Edmentum, Andy led the integration of market-leading offerings in digital courseware, classroom assessment, and benchmark assessments. He envisioned and launched new digital learning products for Career & Technical Education (CTE), elementary reading, and English Language Learners. Later, he helped launch the country’s first vertically aligned online assessment system anchored to a nationally recognized college entrance exam.

Kim Larsen

Vern Kathol

Michael Stanush joined Scantron Corporation with nearly a decade of legal experience. As the company’s legal and governmental affairs expert, Michael’s responsibilities include compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, labor and employment issues, and M&A concerns. Having worked for technology startups and medical device companies, as well as private equity firms, Michael brings with him years of legal experience advising companies on numerous matters, including those related to corporate governance, labor and employment, healthcare compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and privacy compliance. Also no stranger to technology, Michael’s expertise with licensing, privacy, data risk, and HIPAA regulations was an added benefit as he joined the Scantron team.

Tracey Ellis

With more than 22 year of experience in Payroll and Human Resources, Tracey Ellis leads all HR related activities for Scantron—overseeing HR needs for Assessment Solutions, Technology Solutions and Scanners and Forms. She began her HR career at Weyerhaeuser in Payroll and General Accounting then moved to ConAgra where she held several HR roles, including Payroll Supervisor for the Food Ingredients Division.  Eventually, Tracey joined Scantron where she has held progressive leadership roles during her 14 year tenure, specializing in employee relations. She has also developed significant experience with acquisitions and employee integration.
